Drum Kits
Premier Artist Series (maple). One of the latest offerings from Premier, this kit has a beautiful, clear tone. Primary heads are Remo Ambassadors, but CS Black Dots are wonderful on this kit. It's stored at Timm's manager's offices in Washington, D.C., and is currently his primary touring kit. At this time, this kit is used on sessions in the Northeast corridor of the US only, though hire kits may be available in your area. You can hear a version of this kit on Nils Lofgren's "Sacred Weapon" album.

Premier Signia series (maple). This kit is circa 1993 and is Timm's main studio kit. It has a warm yet bright, clear tone.This kit is very open sounding, great for virtually all styles of music. Primary heads are coated Ambassadors, though CS Black Dots are often used on this kit for rock sessions.

1973 Chrome Slingerland (maple/mahogany/maple). These are affectionately referred to as the "War Drums" by Timm's former tech Donnie Moose. This kit's been used on many, many albums - including "Juggernaut" by Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. Circus magazine once called this kick drum "the best sounding bass drum in rock". This kit has darkened up a bit over the years, and is very thick sounding. Primary heads are Remo Emperors, although Ambassadors and CS Black Dots work extremely well, too. Pinstripes are a bit too thick for this kit.
